Mom's Homemade Italian Sausage

Mom made all kinds of sausage flavors, herb, sweet, hot, garlic and many times her recipe was a new creation every time she cooked.

I put together a few ways to try this recipe using her basic recipe with some additions to make the sausage how you like it.

We love hot and spicy but sweet is easy, you just leave out the cayenne pepper!

This is a super simple recipe and you're going to wonder what took you so long to make your own sausage it's so much better than store-bought!

This is without the casing, quick and easy using simple pantry ingredients.

  1. We had a neighbor raise a hog for us last year, and have a LOT of pork to use. The way it was butchered I have a lot of packages of plain pork sausage, completely unseasoned. I am going to try this!
