This sounds and looks like perfect comfort food, especially on a day when they tell me it feels like 5 degrees outside. (I don't want to go out!) Thanks for sharing another terrific dish!

At first I thought this was a side dish, then as I read it realized this could be a whole meal. What a great dish.

Very unique to find an italian entree that does not have pasta in it. Anything that has italian sausage, mushrooms and cheese gets a thumbs up from me. Thanks for this tasty one dish meal!

this is so different from rice and beans I grew up eating, even Creole flavored bean dishes which we cook too,,, like the idea of adding meats of course

It's about five degrees out right now. I am willing this to come to my kitchen.

What a satisfying dish. It would be perfect for this cold night up here in the NE.

Lovely comfort food. My DH loves rice! Good thing it is gluten-free, albeit not low-carb. Still, I tend to think rice is not so bad. All those Asian people cannot be wrong. They tend to be skinny.

Happy New Year to you and your family, Claudia! Here's to a fun new year of friendship and cooking and baking on our blogs. :)
