Mom's Peach Cobbler Cake Recipe

1 can of peach pie filling or your favorite kind  I have tried blueberry, apple and raspberry)
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
In a brownie style pan place the butter in the pan and place in over at 350 until it melt. Add brown sugar and stir. Place pie filling on the bottom evenly spread out.

Cake recipe:
2/3 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
beat together until light.

Add:
2 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup milk

Mix in dry ingredients until well incorporated and smooth:

2 cups flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Spread batter over the peach mixture and bake for 40 minutes on 350 degree hot oven till browned.
Serve warm.  Great with French vanilla ice cream or any whipped cream.
