Crockpot Chicken and Sweet Potato with Pasta

6 boneless chicken thighs, skin removed, trimmed of fat
2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into spears ( I slightly boil in microwave to 9 minutes)
1/2 pound white button mushrooms, thinly sliced
4 cloves garlic, peeled
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup dry white wine
2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary,
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Sauce

1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon of honey
2 tablespoons teriyaki

parsley for garnish

cooked pasta of choice or fluffy rice

Place chicken, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, garlics, wine, rosemary, salt and pepper in a 5-quart slow cooker mix all together. Put the cover on and cook on low until the potatoes are tender, about 4 to 5 hours. Mix all sauces together pour over chicken. Serve with pasta topped parsley or with white rice. Serve the potatoes on the side.

Sounds delicious. We don't see chicken crockpot recipes often - falling off the bone chicken is awesome

If I worked from 9 to 5 I'd probably use a slow cooker. As it is, we left ours behind when we came to DC from Denver. I admire your devotion to putting nutritious food on your table.

oh my Claudia, I have made pork with sweet potatoes, but not chicken, so gonna have to give this one a try...as hot as it is the last couple of days, a slow cooker is looking pretty good...

I'll bet that is an amazing sauce. We had chicken thighs tonight, but I know they weren't as flavorful as these.

The chicken and sweet potatoes together are perfect. And made in the crockpot with little effort? Even better.

I've been wondering about sweet potatoes on pasta. I don't have to wonder any more. I can just bum off your success. Thanks. :) sometimes making up a recipe from an idea (even a simple idea) turns out very badly and I just didn't want to go through that with sweet potatoes and pasta. :)

The Asian flavors are a sweet surprise. And you know I love the ease. You have me bringing the crockpot back out of the basement for summer!
