Buffalo Home Fries

Saturday, May 28, 2011
Here is an easy recipe for Buffalo Home Fries.

These potatoes can be baked then tossed in sauce, fried in sauce or even air fried then drizzled with butter and hot sauce.

Nothing hard or fancy, just a quick potato recipe for hot sauce lovers.

If you really want to get fancy drizzle some ranch or blue cheese dressing on top and enjoy a smothered potato.

Do like crispy bacon? The add that to the top after they are cooked for garnish.

Seriously you can really get carried away with something simple to gourmet with just a few additions.

Buffalo Home Fries

4 potatoes peeled and thinly sliced parboiled for 10 minutes and drained
1/4 cup of hot sauce or more depending on how hot you want them
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, salt, and pepper
extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
Optional: cayenne pepper for more heat, Garnish suggestions: crispy fried bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch or blue cheese dressing

In a large heavy frypan, add enough olive oil to coat the bottom of the pan, on medium-high heat. When oil is hot add sliced potatoes brown on one side.

Turn, continue browning them on this site.

Add the hot sauce, butter and spices, saute until coated and flavors have seeped into the potatoes evenly.

Saute and cook until crispy, add more butter if necessary.

Serve as breakfast potatoes or with your favorite buffalo-style chicken.
