Quick and Easy Side Dish or Meal
One of my very favorite ways to make potatoes to impress everyone are these fanned potatoes, they're delicious, and depending on which cooking method you choose can be done in 10 minutes!
Just choose a cooking method that's right if you have some time constraints and if you're in a huge hurry the microwave can be done in 9 minutes.
We do prefer ours baked or partially microwaved a few minutes then baked to speed up the process.
I have several suggestions for toppings to make them a whole meal or the perfect side dish for any dinner party or family meal.

- butter or olive oil
- hot wing sauce any brand (we like Frank's)
- granulated garlic powder
- butter or oil oil

- fresh or dried assorted herbs
- salt, pepper, and cayenne to taste
- Topping Suggestions: shredded cheeses of any kind IE: cheddar cheese and bacon bits, jalapenos, olives. avocado slices, chopped celery, blue cheese crumbles, sour cream, blue cheese, or ranch dressing

Tips for Cooking Methods

Hasselback or Fanned Potatoes
These potatoes are fancy potatoes and you may have a different name for them like Hasselback!
They're perfect for any side dish especially chicken wing lovers.
We love using different topping suggestions during the week to repurpose leftovers for instance topping with leftover chili, stir fry, or roasted vegetables to top these potatoes, they are certainly a showstopper in comparison to just a simple baked potato.
If you're looking for a quick recipe, this is it, whether you choose boiled, baked, air fried, or microwaved, these are going to be a huge hit for that wing sauce lover!

ReplyDeleteGood idea. I hadn't thought to make buffalo potatoes. I've got a question though...I always use Frank's Buffalo Sauce. This one says its a marinade, so does it have a thicker texture, more like a BBQ sauce? Or is it just their version of Buffalo Sauce??
