Curt's Nutter Butter Truffles

Wednesday, March 16, 2011
These are delicious little candy cookies made with cookies, cream cheese, and coated in chocolate we call Curt's Nutter Butter Truffles

These just happen to be my son's all-time favorite cookies so instead of making Oreo Cookie Balls we used Nutter Butter cookies.

The peanut butter, chocolate, and cookie are a homerun when it comes to easy candy-making flavors for all peanut butter lovers.

Perfect for giving as a gift but you will need to make a double or triple recipe because unless you hide them they will be gone before you have the chance!

Step By Step

  1. Make course crumbs out of the cookies and set aside
  2. Add the cream cheese
  3. Use hand roll into 1-inch balls or use a melon ball scooper
  4. Add them to a cookie sheet
  5. Refrigerate for 2 hours
  6. Melt chocolate then dip the balls into it
  7. Refrigerate  another hour then place in little paper liners

Nutter Butter Cookie Balls

This little cookie gem is so easy, delicious, quick to make, and perfect for gift giving so what are you waiting for?

There are just a few tools you need, a saucepan or bowl to melt the chocolate in, a cookie sheet, wax paper, maybe some pretty tins for gifts and paper liners, and a big wooden spoon for mixing!

I do like to use a melon ball scooper instead of a teaspoon but you don't need it.

Hopefully, you will have as much fun as we did recreate this vintage old recipe for no-bake nutter butter cookie balls!

But when my guard is let down, I'm making those truffles. ... or when no one is around to see me inhale them. :)
