Simple Reuben Sandwich from an Italian Cook's Recipe

Ok, so I strayed. I became Irish for one day! I love this sandwich and make it every year. What can I say, this is totally my favorite tradition for St. Patricks Day. I am not usually a corn beef lover, but this sandwich is the bomb for me! Oh yeah, totally awesome, filled with bavarian kraut, corn beef, thousand island dressing and really good swiss cheese, and for me I love seedless rye....that is all there is to it!

The thousand island dressing adds the perfect sweetness.

Slow cook in the crockpot all day in the package seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Then when I get home from work, broiled for 10 minutes till crisp on the outside.

2 1/2 pounds of fresh corn beef with seasoning packet
1 can of bavarian style sauerkraut
1 package of swiss cheese
1 bottle of thousand island dressing
1 loaf of seedless rye bread
spreadable whipped butter
Cook corn beef in crockpot with 1/4 cup of water and seasoning packet it comes with on low around 5 to 6 hours. Take out and slice.
Take two slices of rye and butter one side of each. In a large fry pan, lay on side down. Layer starting with cheese, kraut, dressing meat and end with more cheese. Melt a tablespoon of butter in a large electric fry pan or griddle. Place sandwich on butter side down and toast on both sides till browned evenly. Serve with more thousand island dressing.
